a day in the life of a nicole

so last saturday my friend nicole and i went snowboarding up at the sundance resort. oh my it was fun. this was my first time this season, and i am still feeling it. yeah i had a few, well alot of crashes and two quite major ones, i am ok though just some bumbs and bruises. nicole was great the whole time she looked after me and i am grateful for her. it was a beautiful sunny day up there. the cooles part was at the top of the mountain they had a lodge with the best view, so nicole and i got out the lawn chairs and chilled. for real it was amazing and i could have stayed all day if they would have let me. the day was the best day ever, the after thought of it hurt but the pain and suffering was oh so worth every moment. i am glad that i was able to go and play with nicole, she is so great! thanks for the fun and the best memories!

every wednesday night after institute some kids from my ward get together and play the greatest game ever...VOLLEYBALL! oh my it is such a good time and it brings back so many good memories.
i really just wanted to blog about my love for the game and the kids in my ward. it is nice to get out and play, to take my mind off what is going on and also to let out a bit of frustration. what a great way to do then to get in a good spike or a hard serve. i am grateful for this great threapy in my life. i want to personally thank trevor for starting the whole thing and for keeping on top of me to get people out, trev you truly are the best.
volleyball is amazzzzzzing you all should try it, good or not just play. all that matters is that you try!

quarter of a century.....

sorry no pictures as of yet, they are on the way.

oh another great birthday has amerged. it all rally started when ilse thought it was my birthday in the beginning of the month and called me singing happy birthday. thank ilse you are the best. my birthday really began on friday the 13th.... dun dun dun... oh it was a blast. it all started by going to the templel with my dear ilse where i met two amazing girls who kept me company as waited for ilse to get there. then after a bit of service it was to the mall we went, it was my birthday i deserve to spoil myself a bit. i actuall bought quite a bit and it was oh so worth every penny. then i had lunch with elizabeth as she passed through on her way to cedar. she got me all sorts of stuff for our future trip to california, in three weeks! then it was back to shopping for me, yeah a lot of shopping. i stayed down in provo a lot longer than i thought i would, but i had so much fun. after shopping my legs off i cam back to midway where i went ice skating with fellow members and friends form the singles ward. oh and mike came up for a bit, but only for a bit it was snowing and he had togo back to salt lake. ice skating was blast and i so want to go again. after skating a few of us headed over to melinda's for a birthday bash a thon. we played some quitar hero, ping pong, pool and laughed our faces off. then cam midnight, the perfect time to break out the pianta, oh yes a dinosaur pinata that is. we tied it up and blinded folded who ever was going gave them a ping pong paddle and watch as they sung away, a great time i suggest for anyone. yeah it took a while to break but then steppep up jordan (a new found friend) and it only took two sings and bart the dinosaur was broken in half and candy was every which way. then we were a little popped so we played some beer (rootbeer) pong, it didn't go to well, to many people and it took way too long. so we opted for a movie. basically i got home around 4am, yeah something i definitely do not do at all. however, it was a great way to celebrate my 25th, with great friends and fantastic cupcakes.
the actual birthday was awesome! it was a day spent doing wonderful church things, a bit of some wii action and family, oh and a bowling cake. we had for dinner chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese, yummy yummy! sometimes it is nice to revert back childhood goodness. i do apperciate all that my family did for me. i love them so much.
a great birthday indeed, indeed

2 for 1

it was mike's birthday (a very good and close friend) on the 9th, so we went out and celebrated. i showed up to take him out with balloons, flowers and birthday muffins (yes the candles were trick candles to my surprise). we then went tp dinner which was delicious japanese food, mike's fav since he served his mission in japan. then we headed over to the zoo to see all the zoo lights. most of the animals were not out, it was way too cold for most of them. mike went out without a coat and people kept tellin him that was crazy so finally he gave in and started to tell people that he was from canada, yeah he is from arizona. we had such a good time. i do admire the kid. and i want to wish him a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY one more time. oh and i made a new friend her name is sue, she is a very good friend, always polite and such a good listener.

brandon lee, katie and i went out four wheeling yesterday. oh my fun times. we had such a blast. brandon drove for a while and katie and i just giggled like little school girls. there was so much mud, which eminent on brandon's shirt, and katie's and my face. it definitely started off our day right. besides the fact that it was the cold the whole time we cuddked enough to make it warm and totally worth it all. thank you brandon and katie for the wonderful day.

'tis the season

my dad and i put up christmas lights this past weekend. oh my it was cold, as long as i was in the sun i was fine but as soon as the sun went away it was fridged. however, it was a good time for sure. now the house is beautiful and now people can find it a lot eaiser. yeah for christmas time. i am excited for the season.
